My mother loves day lilies. Her gardens were a mix of many varieties of day lilies in yellow, orange and deep red, and I particularly liked those with lots of spots and speckles. When I saw the wonderful peach and red Carolina Lilies, with their dramatic dots, curving petals and dramatic arches, I fell in love. The curve of the petals, and the hanging stamen remind me of twirling dancers with their elegant legs and ballet slippers. I've added graceful ferns, lacy leaves and a painted paisley to accompany the spotted florals. The colors are Ruby, Peach, Grass and Aqua, with a few pops of Teal. Yes, that means there are five new Thatched colors to complement the collection. I hope you enjoy the drama of this Carolina beauty -
