Welcome to our Christmas Quilt-a-Long!
This season we are going to make the Let Your Heart Be Light advent sampler quilt together. We have made kits for the lap sized quilt out of the super cute Quilty Little Christmas line by Maywood Studio for Kimberbell. And I have made video tutorials for you. There’s an introduction video, a video for each row of five blocks, and a video for assembly. When you purchase the kit, you will receive a link via email to our private Facebook group where you can watch the videos, share pictures, and talk with others working on the same project. There will also be two optional in-store help sessions (Saturday October 26th and November 2nd at 1-3pm). I will be at both of them to give you any personal help you might need. If you would like to work on your blocks at the help sessions, just bring your machine – or you can just come in and look at my samples, watch demos, and ask questions. The tutorial videos will be left up all the way through the end of December. And just for fun, Sue has offered a free throw sized batting to the first person who brings in a completed quilt top.
This little sampler quilt has blocks that are traditionally pieced, paper-pieced, and appliquéd. If you are new to paper-piecing or appliqué and have been afraid to try it – this is the project for you. I will be helping you every step of the way and showing you in detail how each step of the process works. Learning paper-piecing and appliqué will really help you up your quilting game and open new quilt pattern possibilities.

- October 7th – Introductory video and cutting video are available.
- October 14th – Row 1 video is available (blocks 1 through 5)
- October 21st - Row 2 video is available (blocks 2 through 10)
- October 26th – In store help session from 1-3 pm
- October 28th – Row 3 video is available (blocks 11 through 15)
- November 2nd – In store help session from 1-3 pm
- November 4th – Row 4 video is available (blocks 16 through 20)
- November 11th – Row 5 video is available (blocks 21 through 25)
- November 18th – Assembly video is available

With purchase of this kit you will get access to tutorial videos made by our own Victoria Kuehn (Flabby Tabby Designs) AND two in person help sessions at The Sewing Gallery (first one is Saturday, October 26th 12-4pm, second one is Saturday, October 2nd 12-4pm).
Recommended Supplies List:
This sampler will include beginner introductions to paper-piecing and applique with Victoria as your guide.
The kit also includes foundation papers.
