Local Spotlight: Princeton Designer Victoria Hansel-Kuehn's New Quilt Patterns for Moda Fabrics
We have the best kind of news to share today — and it hits especially close to home.
Victoria Hansel-Kuehn, a talented quilter and pattern designer right here in Princeton, West Virginia, has not one but two exciting new pattern collaborations debuting with Moda Fabrics. As a local shop, there's nothing we love more than celebrating hometown talent making waves in the national quilting world — and Victoria's new designs are nothing short of gorgeous.
Here's everything you need to know!
Autumn Rising — A Collaboration with Sweetfire Road
Victoria partnered with Sweetfire Road (Jackie MacDonald) to design four brand-new patterns for the Autumn Rising collection, now featured in the current Moda Fabrics / United Notions catalog! These rich, autumn-inspired designs are available for your local quilt shop to order now, with fabric arriving June 2027.
The four patterns Victoria designed:
- Cider Ridge Sky — 70" x 79" (SFR 0041)
- Barnwood Stars — 58" x 58", Jelly Roll friendly (SFR 0042)
- Pumpkin Vine Cottage — 63" x 75" (SFR 0043)
- Autumn Soul — 59" x 72" (SFR 0040)

Wildbriar — A Cottagecore Collaboration for Fall 2026
Victoria's second collaboration is just as exciting! Working under her Flabby Tabby Designs label, she partnered with Sweetfire Road once again to create three beginner-friendly patterns for Wildbriar — a gorgeous new cottagecore fabric collection by Jackie MacDonald for Moda. Wildbriar and its coordinating patterns ship this Fall 2026 (October)!
The three Wildbriar patterns:
- Flora's Song — 50" x 58" (SFR 0038)
- Aurelia Rose — 64" x 72", Layer Cake or Jelly Roll friendly (SFR 0036)
- Ophelia's Garden — 27" x 27" (SFR 0037)
A special callout for Ophelia's Garden — this sweet little table topper or wall hanging uses Easy Cathedral Windows to create soft, gentle curves without any curved piecing at all. It's a beginner-friendly design that comes together in a single weekend, making it a wonderful introduction to a technique that normally looks far more intimidating than it is!
